STAYING SAFE ON THE INTERNET- READ THIS FIRST
You may not want your abuser to see what you are viewing on the internet. So that you stay safe when viewing these pages, click on the EXIT BUTTON at the top of the page if you are disturbed. This will instantly take you to the BBC website.
Remember, it’s not just about covering your tracks now, as the perpetrator may try to trace what you have been doing on the web later. Click here for more information on how you can make it harder for them to find out what you have been doing and to keep yourself safe.
If you experience abuse, don’t suffer in silence. Please
contact us as soon as possible.
We will arrange a private interview for you with a trained member of staff who will offer advice and support to you. Our meetings will be confidential and can be held at a location of your choice. We can also arrange for you to be interviewed by someone of the same sex if you prefer and arrange for an interpreter to be present if needed.
We will not judge you or put pressure on you to do something you do not want to do. We will listen to you and let you decide what to do. This could include helping you stay in your home or finding alternative accommodation.
We will always consider the needs of any children who are involved. We will share any concerns we have with you and tell you what we will do about our concerns.
Confidentiality
We offer a confidential service. There may however be times when we have to give information to other agencies if we believe there are concerns about child protection, vulnerable adults or to prevent a crime.
