Safeguarding vulnerable adults

Every adult should be able to live free from fear and harm and have their rights and choices respected.

Sadly, some adults are at risk from abuse and neglect. This includes vulnerable adults such as the elderly, adults with learning disabilities and people with mental health issues. The majority of this abuse goes unreported.

We support the multi-agency safeguarding partnership that has been developed in Bury to tackle these issues.

Safeguarding children

Every child has the right to grow up in a safe, secure and caring environment. Most children receive the care and love they need to develop into healthy, happy adults, but sadly some don't.
