Grants and funding
We give funding to Tenant and Resident Associations (TRAs) and the Tenant and Resident Associations Consultative Committe (TRACC) to help run their groups.
TRA Grants
A TRA grant is available for active, constituted Tenant and Resident Associations to cover running costs (such as postage, phone calls, stationary etc). Groups apply for funds over a 6 month or 12 month period. Groups can apply for a maximum of £500 over the year, in no more than two applications.
Community Grant

A Community Grant is available to all constituted Tenant and Resident Associations to help make a difference in their area. Have you got an idea for a community event, activity or project that could benefit local people? It could be a one-off event like a fun or sports day, or to kickstart a group, like equipment for an over 50s club. Groups can apply for up to £500 and there is no limit on how many times you can apply. All applications will be considered by a Community Grant Panel (staff and tenants) every 2 months.
To receive a grant pack or if you need help completing the application form, please

Other grants:
There are numerous organisations that tenant and resident groups can apply to for extra funds and grants. These are particularly useful for carrying out community projects and activities, such as environmental improvements and facilities for young people. Here’s some useful links to some popular funders:
Community Foundation of Greater Manchester
Big Lottery Fund
Age Concern
Bury Council’s Local Area Partnerships
Greening Greater Manchester
Pilsworth Environmental Company
