Community Involvement Team

The Community Involvement Team promotes and develops involvement and consultation structures for Six Town Housing. The role of the team is to:

  • Promote and develop a range of different ways to help you to get involved in the service
  • Give you advice and information on how you can get involved
  • Offer a variety of training opportunities for tenants and residents to help them get involved
  • Provide a resource centre for tenants and residents to use
  • Give support to new and existing groups including tenant and resident associations, Home View, Tenant and Resident Associations Consultative Committee and Leaseholders’ Forum by:
    • giving annual funding to formally recognised groups
    • providing free training to groups and individuals to help get involved
    • helping to produce constitutions (rules of how a group operates)
    • helping to produce newsletters
    • helping to produce and analyse surveys
    • providing support to organise and run meetings
    • helping to find suitable meeting places
    • supporting to develop community projects
    • helping to identify sources of funding and submit bids for community projects
      helping to organise community events

We have a Tenants Resource Centre, with a wide range of free facilities available for all tenants and representatives of tenants groups to use.
