Celebrating customer excellence week
Date: Tuesday 13th October, 2009
Cyril the Squirrel puts a smile on the face of visitors to Bury Market – all in the name of excellent customer service!
As part of national customer service week Six Town Housing’s mascot Cyril the Six Town Squirrel popped into Bury market on Thursday 8 October, to promote the work that Six Town Housing undertakes to promote excellent customer service.
At the event Cyril met lots of people and was particularly popular with the students from Bury College, who all wanted to have their pictures taken with him. Cyril also tasted many of the culinary delights of Bury Market on his tour, including Bury’s famous Black Pudding.
Staff from Six Town Housing accompanied Cyril on the trip to the market, which forms just one of the many activities Six Town Housing undertook to celebrate National Customer Service Week. At other venues across the borough customers have been able to take part in tombola’s and children’s events.
Sharon McCambridge, Chief Executive at Six Town Housing, said: “Excellent customer service is a key priority for Six Town Housing and we have been gathering information throughout National Customer Service Week to find out how we can improve customer satisfaction further. We are involving customers and staff in developing our customer access strategy and have introduced a scheme where customers can nominate members of staff for recognition if they have provided excellent customer service”.
