Nominate your Community Stars for an award
Date: Tuesday 13th April, 2010
Do you know an unsung hero or community group that makes a real difference to their neighbourhood?
Six Town Housing is holding its first Community Stars Awards to acknowledge and celebrate their achievements.
The ceremony will be held on Tuesday June 8 at the Elizabethan Suite in Bury Town Hall, from 12.30pm to 2.30pm. There will be refreshments, music and entertainment. Both people making the nominations and those nominated will be invited to attend.
A panel of judges will assess the nominations, including Sharon McCambridge, chief executive of Six Town Housing.
You can nominate a tenant, resident, leaseholder or a community group who lives in or is based in a neighbourhood managed by Six Town Housing.
Winners will receive £100 gift vouchers and a trophy, while runners-up will receive a certificate.

There are five award categories: Young Rising Star, Best Community Project, Good Neighbour, Outstanding Achievement, and Best Green Initiative. (For more information on the award categories, click on the poster across).
