Six Town Housing is proud to support LGBT history month
Date: Friday 12th February, 2010
Lesbian Gay Bisexual Trans (LGBT) History Month takes place every year in February.
Six Town Housing is proud to support LGBT History Month 2010 and celebrates diversity in all its various forms.
LGBT History Month was first initiated in the USA in October 1994. It celebrates the lives and achievements of the LGBT community. In the UK, LGBT History Month was initiated by Schools OUT in February 2005.
Gareth Thomas, New Patron of LGBT History Month
LGBT History Month proudly announces its latest patron: rugby star Gareth ‘Alfie’ Thomas.
Thomas’s 100 caps for Wales will go down in history, but he rocked the establishment in December 09, when he became the first international rugby union player to come out as a gay man. He currently plays for the Cardiff Blues
He is very open about his own experience of homophobia and is determined to do all he can to change things for the next generation
