Despite the rain, Cyril the Squirrel was pounding the streets of Manchester over the bank holiday weekend celebrating Manchester Pride; one of Britain’s biggest lesbian, gay, bi-sexual (LGBT) events.
Staff from Six Town Housing along with our mascot Cyril the Squirrel, joined in the fun and supported colleagues from the Council’s LGBT group to raise awareness and promote the work of both organisations.
Manchester Pride has grown over the last few years to include a huge range of events which take place over a ten-day period at the end of August, culminating in the ‘Big Weekend’. The event helps raise money for local charities and to raise public awareness of LGBT events.
