Six Town Housing Structure & Board
With Six Town Housing managing homes and services for tenants in Bury, it means tenants will have a much bigger role in the management of their homes than ever before.
Six Town Housing is run by a Board of Directors. This Board includes tenants, council nominees and independent members with relevant experience of areas such as social housing, financial management, employment matters and other areas of relevant expertise.
This single Board of Management comprises of:
- 7 tenant members selected on a representative basis;
- 5 nominees from the Council (usually councillors);
- 5 independent members.
In the lead up to the setting up of the Company, the Board operated as a Shadow Board, and they were responsible for ensuring the successful establishment of Six Town Housing.

Landlord Issues Advisory Group (LIAG)
The meetings of the Landlord Issues Advisory Group planned for 2008 have been temporarily suspended. LIAG is a very valuable group, and one which we are keen to continue.
Due to falling numbers in attendance we are reviewing the remit of the group over the summer, and we will be re launching it in the autumn. This page will be updated in due course with further details following the review..
