Rent Refunds
If you pay too much rent, you can ask for it to be refunded to you. For example, you may have been paying your rent in advance and been granted backdated Housing Benefit. We can arrange a refund or you can simply choose not to pay your rent for a few weeks to use up your credit. If you would like a refund, we will arrange for it to be paid directly into your bank account within 2 weeks of your request.
Please note: Before a refund can be issued we will need to make sure you don't have any other Six Town Housing/Bury Council debts outstanding. If you do owe any other debts your credit will be used to clear these first and the remainder refunded to you.
