Estate caretaking service

The roll of the neighbourhood caretaker is to directly and indirectly assist the tenants of Six Town Housing to achieve a better quality of life by:
Maintaining the appearance of the estates and housing land through cyclical programmes and identifying and dealing with any environmental issues either directly or indirectly by reporting to the relevant agencies.
Clearance of communal entrances and stairways in line with fire safety regulations.
Remove and replace electric light bulbs for the vulnerable, infirm and aged tenants.
Garden work for vulnerable, infirm and aged tenants.
Graffiti removal.
Pruning.
Fitting of Smoke Alarms.
Litter picking.
Removal and investigation of fly tipping.
Fence repairs.
Removal of leaves for the infirm and aged tenants.
Gritting around Sheltered Housing and for infirm and aged tenants.
Weed killing.
Strimming.
Collection and disposal of discarded sharps.
Moss removal from walkways on estates and Sheltered Housing.
Removal of rubbish.
Attend estate walkabouts and community events such as clean up days, Beetsweeps.
Attend TRA meetings.
Home maintenance. Remove carpets, replace wall paper, interior painting, replace fuses, re-set central heating timers ect for the vulnerable, infirm and aged.
Assistance with removals available to the vulnerable, infirm and aged.
Assistance with the logistics of STH events.
HIA handyman requests for STH tenants.
Delivery of leaflets and Six Town NEWS.
Target Hardening including spy holes, window locks and door chains.
Fire Proof letter boxes for survivors of domestic abuse.
Garden clearance for vulnerable or disabled customers.
Maintenance of garage colonies on housing land.
Skip attendance on clean up days also dispose of items for the vulnerable infirm and aged who cannot manage the work themselves.
Monitoring of Grounds Maintenance and reporting performance to Asset and Investment Manager.
Look after the well being of the estates to make it a better place for our tenants to live.
Working closely with the CHO's for the good of the tenants.
