Casey have delivered refurbishments to 2000 properties managed by Six Town Housing on behalf of Bury Council.
The contractor has installed new kitchens, bathrooms or heating systems in the homes over eight years, in line with improvement works co-ordinated by Six Town Housing on behalf of Bury Council.
To mark the occasion, Casey kindly donated a food hamper and flowers to the tenants who lived in the 2000th house they visited, Mr and Mrs Freely.
Mrs Freely said she was extremely grateful for the hamper said she is "over the moon" with the works carried out at her home.
Mike Hyde, Casey Director for the works, said:
“Over the eight years that Casey has worked with Six Town Housing in Bury on their capital investment programme, we have done more than just carry out refurbishment works – we’ve become a part of the communities that we’ve worked in. I think that the strong working relationship we have with the Six Town Housing team and the personal relationships we have formed with residents has reaped rewards for all concerned. Mrs Freely was the 2000th resident to have her home refurbished and the amendments made, to her bathroom in particular, have changed her life. She said she is going to miss us now we have finished.
“I’m proud to have a team at Casey who work well and show consideration and respect for the residents in whose homes they are working. When you work well together, then you improve lives for everyone.”Back to news
