Residents at Red Bank Extra Care Scheme had a busy Festive period throughout December with crafts, cake decorating and a visit from St Marys Primary School. The sessions were funded through Bury Council’s Pitch Fund.
The residents got creative at craft sessions ran by the talented local artist, Caroline Coates. The residents made resin jewellery, coasters, and Christmas decorations.
Sam Tindale from Ellie May’s Cakes also ran a festive cake decorating session. 19 residents decorated a Christmas cake which they got to enjoy after the session.
To top it off, pupils from St Marys Primary School in Radcliffe helped decorate the Christmas tree in the communal lounge and sang Christmas Carols. The school also invited the residents to attend a school assembly to sing Christmas carols together, enjoy mince pies and chat to the pupils.
