Message from Helena Donegan, Chair of the Customer Review Group
I hope everyone is well. As we return to some normality, it is hoped that the Customer Review Group (CRG) that I chair will meet with Six Town Housing managers again to continue to look at improvements to services. If you’re not aware, our CRG is made up of an independent group of tenants who investigate how Six Town Housing work and push for positive changes for the benefit of all tenants.
Last year we looked at Caretaking Standards and felt great that a new standard was approved. We know that there are now new caretakers dedicated to working within communal blocks as a result of our work.
We’ve also looked at how Six Town Housing deliver their Capital Improvement works. Customers are now asked at an early stage whether there are any circumstances that Six Town Housing should be aware of that might impact the work being carried out, such as household members having specific requirements due to illness or disabilities. This is helping customers to understand what is happening, and helping staff work alongside families to prepare them for the works. This is working really well with customers.
We are just starting meetings again post-lockdown, with future ones being held virtually. We really would like a few new faces to join us.
