If you’re an EU, EEA or Swiss citizen living in the UK, it’s important that you apply for the EU Settlement Scheme before 30th of June 2021 if you haven’t already. If your application is successful, you’ll get either settled or pre-settled status.

There’s lots of support and advice available to help you apply if you need it. You can find information about applying on the Government website here. You can also find help lines provided by the government here.

Support is also available through Citizens Advice Bury and Bolton, and ADAB. Citizens Advice Bury and Bolton can be contacted here or you can call them on 0808 278 7804. Drop-in sessions are held by ADAB at The Mosess, Cecil Street, for those who need extra support. To book a face-to-face session, contact the group on 0161 764 6749.

Don’t leave this too late as you could put your residency within the UK at risk. The Home Office says that people who miss the deadline for “a good reason” will still be able to apply. As of yet, no details have been given as to what constitutes as a good reason.

Apply online here.
