Six Town Housing is open for calls and enquires 9am – 5pm, Monday to Thursday and 9am – 4pm on Fridays. Outside of these times, include over weekend and bank holidays, we operate an emergency repairs service. This service can be accessed by calling our phone number, 0161 686 8000, and pressing 3 for emergency repairs at the prompt.

Our emergency repairs service is for work that cannot wait until the following working day. This can include:

  • Leaks or burst pipes
  • Loss of some/all power
  • Lock changes
  • Resetting of fire alarms in Sheltered properties
  • Faulty smoke detectors
  • Roof leaks
  • Blocked toilets

As per the Tenancy Agreement, we have 24 hours to attend emergencies although we do respond to most emergencies within a much shorter time period.

All non-emergency repairs or other non-repair issues should be reported during normal office hours by contacting us via the Six Town Housing App, the contact us page or calling us on 0161 686 8000.

We’d like to state that we don’t deal with pest control issues on the out of hours emergency repair service. Pest control is a Bury Council service and is only open during normal working hours. If you need to report anything to pest control, please call 0161 253 5000.
