Over 1,000 people attended a family entertainment and information event in Radcliffe run by Six Town Housing, who manage housing stock on behalf of Bury Council.
Their Summer Roadshow is visiting locations across the borough during the school holiday. Each event includes free entertainment for children and useful information stalls for tenants and residents living in the homes and communities that Six Town Housing manage on behalf of Bury Council.
Children accessed face painting, a bouncy castle, reptile handling and lots of games and competitions at the event on Red Bank field in Radcliffe on 7th August. Adults had the opportunity to report repairs, access digital training, find out about employment support, pick up energy saving tips, participate in a damp and condensation workshop and much more.
Other stalls included a first aid advice stall hosted by Purpose Training, a craft stall hosted by local craft group the Woodies and a painted rocks stall hosted by Corrie Gardeners.
Sharon McCambridge, Chief Executive of Six Town Housing, said, “The Roadshow is proving to be a popular annual event for communities, with the recent event in Radcliffe having a particularly high attendance. It is fantastic to be able to speak to so many people about things that matter to them and we are able to inform them of a range of services available to them.”
The Roadshow will visit Victoria Park in Whitefield on 14th August and Venwood Road Ball Park in Prestwich on 21st August. Both events take place between 1pm and 4pm.Back to news
