At the start of the month, Residents on Chapelfield estate in Radcliffe put together a tea party to celebrate the estate turning sixty this year.
The party was organised by the some of the residents of Chapelfield for 88-year-old Ann Moores, who moved into her house at Chapelfield in 1962 with her husband and daughter. People were asked to bring their favourite foods, drinks and cakes to share on the grass area outside of the houses on the estate.
Ann said, “I love it on Chapelfield. One of the main things is that I’ve always felt safe. I have met some really nice people and have some great memories here.” Ann also mentioned one of her favourite things about where she lives is the view outside her window.
