School gardening club help transform estate

School children from Lowercroft Primary School have worked hard to transform an area on the entrance to the estate, which is opposite the school.

We asked the gardening club if they would like to help make the area brighter, and they jumped at the chance.

The pupils grew sunflowers from seed to plant in the borders of the plot. They also donated their winning recycled planters from a recent school competition and worked with our caretakers to develop the plot. Local residents also helped plant the sunflowers and will keep an eye on the patch.
