Six Town Housing have been shortlisted in two categories at this year's Housing Excellence Awards, for Medium Social Landlord Of The Year and for Best Tenant Employment and Training programme.
The Housing Excellence Awards highlight the organisations, individuals & projects that are leading the way in affordable housing, with all winners being announced on May 25th 2017.
The Best Tenant Employment and Training nomination is for Steps To Success, a programme run by Six Town Housing that offers apprenticeships, free training, bespoke support and more to tenants seeking employment. It’s the second award nomination Steps To Success has received this year; last month it was finalist at the TPAS Awards North West Region Awards in the Excellence in Employment Skills and Training category.
Sharon McCambridge, Chief Executive at Six Town Housing, said, "I am proud the hard work and dedication of staff across the business that has lead to us making the shortlist for Medium Social Landlord this year. I am also proud of how Steps To Success has grown since it was launched in 2013. It has now helped nearly 60 tenants into full time work and 35 into part time work."Back to news
