Six Town Housing staff and tenants have been shortlisted for two awards in this year’s annual Tenant Participation Advisory Service (TPAS) Awards regional finals. The awards work to promote tenant empowerment.

Chesham Fold Tenants and Residents Association (TRA) have been nominated for The Richard Crossley Excellence in Community Action Award, for the work they do for their community. This includes running a food bank, a baby bank, youth club and a community café that is open to all.

Six Town Housing’s framework for collecting feedback from tenants to improve services is nominated for the Outstanding Tenant Engagement category. This includes working closely with our Customer Review Group and meeting regularly with the chairs of Tenant and Resident Associations.

Helena Donegan, Chair of the Customer Review Group, said “I’m very pleased that our Customer Review Group has been shortlisted. The group works very hard, recently we have been working with the Neighbourhood Caretakers to improve estates across the borough. The TRA chair meetings are useful, as they can share what is impacting within their communities and any ongoing or upcoming issues directly with each other and senior people in Six Town Housing so these can be addressed.”

The awards ceremony will be held at The Principal Hotel Manchester on Friday 27th March, where the winners will be announced.
