Ranger Rob and a couple of young attendees at Six Town Housing's Summer Roadshow

Adults and their children flocked to Victoria Park in Whitefield for the fifth in a series of family friendly information sessions taking place across the borough.

The event, which took place on Tuesday 22nd August, was part of Six Town Housing’s Summer Roadshow. The fun days aim to entertain and inform the tenants and residents living in homes and communities that they manage on behalf of Bury Council.

Free activities included a bouncy castle, face painting, reptile handling, games and competitions. These were accompanied by stalls about Repairs work, planned home improvements, tenant employment service Steps to Success and more.

Sharon McCambridge, Chief Executive of Six Town Housing, said, “An ongoing theme of the Roadshow this year is to give a platform to local Tenant and Resident Associations that provide local people with social activities and a way to help shape their community. Victoria Youth and Community Centre attended in Whitefield, showcasing their services and running a food stall to help raise funding for activities.”

The last date of this year’s Summer Roadshow is on 29th August at Red Bank field in Radcliffe from 1pm to 4pm.
