A popular annual roadshow will be returning to visit estates across Bury in the Summer holidays to provide free family entertainment and advice to residents.
The events are run by Six Town Housing, who manage social housing stock on behalf of Bury Council. The Summer Roadshow aims to help tenants and local residents access information on a range of services available to them, all while keeping their children entertained.
Visitors this year will be able to access energy saving advice, employment support, digital training to get online and guidance on how to avoid condensation and damp in homes.
Young people will be able to enjoy free face-painting, a bouncy castle, giant games and competitions. A popular reptile handling stall will also return this year, courtesy of Ranger Rob’s Animal Experience.
John Merrick, Director of Neighbourhoods at Six Town Housing, said, “Our events provide a way for tenants to find out about and access a range of services that may have an impact on their lives, while keeping them and their families entertained.”
The Roadshow takes place every Tuesday for 5 weeks. It is visiting Hoyles Park (Bury 24th July), Powell Street (Bury 31st July), Red Bank Field (Radcliffe 7th August), Victoria Park (Whitefield 14th August) and Vennwood Road (Prestwich 21st August).
