Police have helped local children to have fun to a new beat after providing a grant to Outwood Bound Youth Club to run a Music Project.

The four week project involved youth club members and volunteers learning and practising popular songs, led by Dan from Big City Jacks Recording Studio. The group were then given the opportunity to spend a day at the studios recording songs in groups, solos and duets.  Members got a chance to play the drums and percussion instruments and everyone who took part received a CD of their music.

Debbie Standring, Community Development Worker for Radcliffe said "The idea behind the project was to build the confidence and self esteem of young people. The music project motivated youth club members to learn new skills and build their aspirations to learn more and push themselves in life. Everyone who took part had fun and enjoyed the experience".

The music theme will continue at the weekly club nights.
