The Scheme 

This retirement scheme slightly differs from the other schemes that are available. The scheme is a joint venture between Six Town Housing and the Adult Care Service’s Home Care Team, who are based on site and have a minimum of 2 staff on duty 24 hours a day 7 days a week.

It provide an alternative to residential care, enabling you to stay in your own home for as long as possible. It offers an environment that enables you to remain independent and control your life.


The Flats 

Falcon House - 20 x 1 bed flats and 15 x 1 bed bungalows.

Griffin House - 20 one bed flats and 14 one bed bungalows.

Each flat has:

- Double glazed and heating, smoke alarms and TV aerial point 
- Decorated throughout and choice of carpets and vinyl flooring where appropriate 
- Secure door entry system for your peace of mind and all fitted with emergency pull cords and Carelink 
- All properties have wet rooms 
- Communal grounds


The Cost 

Charges may vary depending on the level of support you need (there are three levels available). In addition, you would pay rent, amenity charges and your utility bills. There will also be a cost if you are having domiciliary care services provided. You may have to pay for some or all of the costs or you may be entitled to benefits. All this will be explained to you when you apply for Extra Care.
