Top O’th Fields and Welcombe Walk Tenant and Resident Association (TRA) in Whitefield are hosting a charity Motown and soul night on Saturday 16th November at 6:00pm. The evening will take place in the communal area of the Top O’th Fields retirement living scheme and will include a performance from a professional singer, a raffle and a buffet. The event is open to all of the community.

Tickets cost £5 with all proceeds going to charity, split between Bury Blind Society, Manchester’s Children’s Hospital and Jigsaw.

Professional soul singer ‘Me, Myself and Caroline’ from Leamington Spa is volunteering her time for the event.

Jacqui, the chair of the TRA, has organised several other charity events at the retirement living scheme. This has included recently raising over £150 for Macmillan as part of their World’s Biggest Coffee Morning.

She said, “It’s important to me that all our residents and members of the surrounding community feel welcome and included. That’s why we run weekly groups for everyone like bingo and darts. Everyone on the TRA work together to organise events like this one and our Macmillan coffee morning which everyone had a great time at and helped raise the money we did.”
