Bury VCFA - here to support the voluntary and community sector in Bury.

We have an incredibly rich and diverse voluntary sector in the borough, doing amazing things every day – from sports and physical activity groups, support for health and wellbeing, early years and parents/carers groups, activities for young and older people, initiatives to protect our environment and activities which bring people of different faiths, cultures and beliefs together – these are just a few examples – there’s many more!

Lots of voluntary and community groups in Bury also rely on the incredible contribution made by volunteers – it’s estimated that Bury volunteers give a massive 131,000 hours per week!

How can Bury VCFA help you?

  • If you’re involved in a community group, charity, social enterprise or faith organisation providing community support – we can provide advice, guidance and training to set up, develop and grow your organisation or projects.
  • If you’re looking for funding for your group, we can help you find the right funder for your project and support to put your bid together.
  • If you’re interested in volunteering, we can help you find the right opportunity to suit your interests and availability.
  • If your group works with volunteers, we can help you put support in place to make sure they have a great experience with you.
  • If you’re aged over 18 with a Bury GP, Bury VCFA Social Prescribing Service (Beacon Service) can support you to access a whole range of groups and activities to support your health and wellbeing.

You might already be involved with a Voluntary, Community or Social Enterprise (VCSE) group in your area. If you’re not and would like to find out more about volunteering, please contact us at admin@buryvcfa.org.uk or telephone 0161 518 5550.

If you’re involved in a Tenants and Residents Association (TRA) group, let us know about your activities or if you need help with funding as we might be able to help you! Contact us at admin@buryvcfa.org.uk or telephone 0161 518 5550.
