New East Bury Family Hub now open

Last month, the new East Bury Family Hub was officially opened.

The Family Hub is a place where council, health, and community services can come together so families can access the right support when it’s needed. It’s also a place where children, young people and their families can access activities.

The open day was a chance to see what they can offer local families, including free activities for children and young people and the opportunity to meet providers and local family services. There were crafts, a dedicated youth area, mindfulness sessions, and taster sessions for young people and parents.

Six Town Housing staff attended along with 24 different partners including council, health, community, and voluntary services that showcased what they do and offered information and support to families attending.

Jane Straccia, Tenant Engagment Advisor who attened the event, said, "It’s a fantastic new resource for local families across the area to get advice and support from a range of services from midwifery appts, health checks, early years play, help to access child care and various youth activities."

The East Bury Family Hub is now open and located at 25 Dorset Drive, Bury, BL9 9DN. You can view what activities and support they are currently offering here.
